SJMF Success at The Human Race
Saturday, April 21st was the DuPage County Human Race in Wheaton, IL. A Portion of the proceeds went to local charities as designated by racing participants. SJMF had 39 participants, raising a total of $1,050 with $641.50 going directly to our charity.
Two of our participants received medals: Triphena Wong took 2nd and Lynn Hill took 4th in their age divisions.
For the first year working with this event, we had a lot of fun and loved getting to join together with others who love Stephanie and her cause. A number of runners, walkers, and members of the board gathered for brunch after the event to celebrate.
In future years we hope to have even greater participation in running events since athleticism was such an important part of Stephanie’s life.
