Naperville Sun Feature: "Lysacek's fans raised $5000 for memorial fund"
SJMF hosted a screening party of "Dancing with the Stars" on April 26. About 100 fans cheered Evan Lysacek and his partner Anna Trebunskaya, together with Evan's parents, Stephanie's parents and Naperville Mayor Pradel at Raffi's at 5th Avenue in downtown Naperville. The evening also included appetizers, dinner, silent auction and dance demos and mini-lessons.

Evan Lysacek returned to his Naperville hometown to celebrate his gold medal in men's figure skating at the recent Vancouver Winter Olympics. As part of his homecoming appearances, Evan hosted a "Meet and Greet" reception at Rosebud Restaurant in downtown Naperville (48 W. Chicago Avenue).
The sold-out reception was from 5:00 to 7:00pm and Evan was on hand between 5:00 and 6:00pm. The proceeds from the sales of admission tickets to the event will benefit the Stephanie Joseph Memorial Fund.

"An Evening of Hope"
was held on September 27, 2008 from 7:00-9:00 pm at Fox Valley Ice Arena in Geneva. Starring two-time national champion, two-time world medalist
and Olympian Evan Lysacek, the show benefits the Stephanie Joseph Memorial Fund in
collaboration with the Make-A-Wish Illinois Chapter. Starring with Evan were current World champion, Olympic bronze medalist and six-time Canadian champion Jeffrey Buttle; Olympic silver medalists Tanith Belbin and Benjamin Agosto; World
Champion Kimmie Meissner; U.S. Pairs Champions Brooke Castile and Ben Okolski; World Champion ice dancer Shae-Lynn Borne; Canadian National Champion
Jennifer Robinson; U.S. Bronze Medalist Ryan Bradley; two-time U.S. Pairs Champions Rena Inoue and John Baldwin; two-time National bronze medalist Dan Hollander; and more.
Ten local up-and-coming skaters and three synchronized skating teams, including the Chicago Jazz, also performed. The evening included a Silent Auction and 50/50 Raffle, and autograph signing session with the ice skaters.
